About

Tim has spent many years developing his particular style of Landscape photography. With a background in film, Tim's digital era began in 2006 using a natural style with a wide dynamic range. His reworking (retouching) of his digital negatives brings out the essence in a scene, not adding to or altering what was there. He uses the digital equivalent of dodging and burning to bring out details in the shadows and highlights that otherwise would have been lost, using these techniques to remedy the shortcomings of the digital sensor rather than creating a new reality.

Tim was able to not only carry through his experience into the digital world but also his extensive collection of photographic hardware with a large selection of Nikkor prime lenses ensuring sharp and contrasty images.

Tim's award winning images have been purchased by private and corporate collectors and the Australian National Library.

Tim prints most of the images available on this site himself, so he has the ultimate quality control of the work generated. He uses pigment ink printers and archival media to ensure that prints have a longer life span than traditional colour processes.

This website is focused on Tim's gallery, feel free to contact Tim for commissions or prints.

All images are from Australia unless otherwise indicated.

The majority are from the Bellingen area, Tim's home for over 30 years.

Bellingen Shire includes Urunga and Dorrigo.
